A big “thank you” to all who helped with the Smithfield Downtown Market setup this past Saturday, especially to John, KA1UGM, for coordinating the event with the Town of Smithfield. This being our second time setting up in a couple of weeks, things went a little easier and faster. Also we noticed the turnout for the Market was larger this time. We had a number of people stop by who were interested in Ham Radio and our Club. We were able to operate VHF and UHF using our repeaters and we also had a Winlink digital station set up to demonstrate that mode. We’re thinking about doing this again next year at the Market which starts on late Springtime. Last Saturday Market participants: Robert, KQ4BET Don, WB8SGC Steve, KZ4AT Taylor, KR4DOW John, KA1UGM Lyle, N4ACK Dick, W4RBH Randy, WB4KZI
