Members,
I'd like to thank everyone who showed up this morning to help set up for the last Farmers Market event of the year.
I would also like to thank everyone who showed up to hangout for the duration of the Farmers Market, it was nice to hear the comradery among the members and to thank everyone who stopped by the tent.
We did have a couple of the patrons stop by the tent and ask questions.
I would like to send a special thanks to Lyle (N4ACK) for standing by to respond/ send WINLINK messages and to conduct voice communications.
It was a very enjoyable event today. It was not too hot, there was a slight breeze at times to a noticeable breeze and a very enjoyable breeze. Then there was the scent of various foods that filled the air.
        Thanks to all.

Members,
Echoing what Robert posted, kudos to all members who showed up to support the Smithfield Market yesterday.  Other than a (normal) Winlink glitch, everything went very well and both WTRA and WTARES were  very professionally represented.  Our demonstration showed analog and digital communication, as well as showing how we set up during an emergency.  Robert, KQ4BET, ran the Winlink station and made contacts through the WT4RA-10 Digital Node.  One of the Deployment Cases were set up with VHF/UHF radios and a portable VHF/UHF antenna was set up temporarily.  A special thanks to Lyle, N4ACK, for standing by and helping with the contacts.   A few visitors stopped by, some were club members!
Next, we'll set up, similar to the Market setup, at a Boy Scout event in Suffolk on October 17.  We'll be looking for members to help with that too.  Thanks to Dick, W4RBH, for the pictures posted previously, and John, KA1UGM, for working to get us into the Market this year.
