web site! We are a non-profit amateur "ham" radio club based in

General/program meetings are held the second Monday of each month. Annual meeting: January. This is the new
officer election meeting. Formal/business meetings are held on
the second Monday of the second month of each quarter at 7:30 PM in
Smithfield, Virginia. The 2012 meeting dates are January 10,
February 14, May 8, August 14, November 13.

We hold a weekly net
on our repeater on 147.195 (+) every Thursday at 7:30 PM. We hope you
check in. Net script. Our EchoLink node 88373
and IRLP node
8373 and VHF-UHF remote base are available
for use.
The town of
Smithfield is located in the northern part of Isle of Wight
County. The county is named after the island off the coast of
southern England. When you visit Smithfield, you will be welcomed by
the town's sign declaring it as the "ham capital of the
world".
